Rachel Bowden - 2008 Class 1A High Jump State Champion
After finishing 5th last year at the State Championships in high jump, she returned to Showalter Field in Orlando as the number 1 seed. She cleared 4'8", 4'10", 5'0", and 5'2" all on her first attempts. The bar was raised to 5'4" with 2 other girls left. Rachel cleared the bar without even touching it on her first try, winning the state championship outright. She was the only competitor with NO misses.
